Starbucks Ramble One

Having established my presence in this certain establishment at this singular coordinate point, I now have what I shall call "The Power of Assumption". Simply put, all customers who now arrive and experience my precedence immediately assume one or more ideas regarding my being and its relation to them and this store. One assumption is that I have been here for a period of time; I am not a newcomer as are they. This could of course be false - I may have arrived seconds before them to the effect they were present when i took my seat but they merely did not make the observation, thus are mislead. Another assumption is, if they are one to be susceptible to self image criticizing, that I am now casting judgement upon them, regardless of whether or not this is the case. Simply due to my senior arrival, I am vested with this anxiety provoking ability. It is also assumed I possess certain knowledge which they do not. What this knowledge may be will remain unknown, most likely never put to scrutiny. This phantasmal information which I am assumed to possess serves to put me in a subtle position of authority, and once again the Assumer may or may not be aware of these revelations which are taking place within their conscious - or subconscious. Nevertheless these revelations do produce tangible effects, as is easily demonstrated upon the questioning of the Assumer.
The subtle position of authority which I have mentioned may precipitate several attitude adaptations towards my being. I may now seem more potentially helpful than any new presences which may appear. I may seem more benevolent or be perceived as more trustworthy as well.
From the evidences presented there can be made a number of conclusions about the impacts order of arrival and position within the store have upon any particular person with a modicum of awareness entering the establishment.
